LEARNING METHODS

All classes are taught face-to-face.

Part of the learning takes place as self-directed study out of the classroom. The modes of delivery are specified for each module.

The main possible source of risk for the massage therapist is the development of repetitive strain injury.  The course addresses this issue for students by teaching practitioner self-care from the start of the course.  Students are instructed and coached on the appropriate use of various body parts to minimise the risk of injury.  The college uses adjustable massage tables so that all students can work at the optimum height.

AWARD OF THE QUALIFICATION

The Certificate in Wellness Massage will be awarded to any student who has successfully completed all written and practical requirements of the individual modules listed below, and who has a current First Aid certificate.  There are no awards for merit or distinction in this certificate.  The requirements of individual modules will be supplied to students in course handbooks at the commencement of the course.
