CERTIFICATE IN AROMATHERAPY

To complete this NZQA accredited course you will need to complete:

• Aromatherapy
• Massage 1, 2, 3 (click HERE for more information)
• Anatomy and Physiology A & B (click HERE for more information)
• Current first aid certificate

Aromatherapy module

Course content

The aromatherapy module introduces students to the science and art of aromatherapy, an ancient system where the application of essential oils is used to enhance ones well-being and to promote the healing process.

• History and principles of aromatherapy.
• In-depth knowledge of 25 - 30 essential oils, including application methods, safety, production, basic chemistry, and a minimum of five carrier oils.
• Clinical practice.
• Lotion and wax making.

Hours

The aromatherapy module will be taught over 8 weekends in 2012. Please contact our office to register your interest.

Saturday and Sunday – 9.30am to 4.30pm

Costs

Current tuition fees are provided in our prospectus, or enquire at our office.

First aid certificate - to be completed independently at your own cost.

Fee includes photocopied notes and some materials. Optional textbook extra.

Students may pay for their course by means of fortnightly automatic payments.

Some WINZ beneficiaries could receive a subsidy for Massage 1, 2, 3.

This course is approved by NZ Qualifications Authority under the provisions of the Education Act 1989, and the Lotus Holistic Centre is accredited to teach it.
