Anatomy and Physiology A & B

This 100 hour course (also referred to as A & P 1) covers all the major systems of the human body. This is essential for completion of the Diploma in Therapeutic Massage, Certificate in Nutritonal Studies, Certificate in Herbal Studies and Certificate in Aromatherapy.

It is also the minimum required for graduates of the Certificate in Reflexology to become registered with Reflexology New Zealand on completion of a Diploma in Reflexology (with a proposed additional course in Business Management - coming in 2012).

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Natural Medicine are also required to attend A & P 2 & 3 during the mid-week degree programme.

Monday evenings 6.30 - 9.30pm OR mornings 9.00 - 12.15

Course content

This course covers 100 hours in the classroom, and is an in-depth study of the structure and function of the human body. You will learn how the body is put together and how it works, and gain insight into the processes of disease and dysfunction.

Students are expected to undertake at least one hour of home study for every two hours of class time in this subject.

This smaller course is is a requirement for completion of the Certificate in Wellness Massage, or for general interest. Systems included are:
