Mission Statement

The Lotus Holistic Centre Ltd is a small massage and natural therapies college based at a single site in Hastings. Our adult students come to us from Hawke's Bay, from all parts of New Zealand and from overseas.

Our mission is to produce multi-skilled graduates with a broad knowledge base in therapeutic massage, naturopathy and herbal medicine. These holistic practitioners will enhance the health and well-being of the communities they serve.

Purpose and goals

The purpose of this establishment is to teach massage, naturopathy, herbal medicine and related therapies.

The goals will be:-

1. To enable the students to work safely and effectively in massage and natural   therapies.
2. To provide a positive and supportive environment where students can develop their own strengths and skills.
3. To provide courses which meet the requirements of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority.
4. To provide courses which staircase to degree or other tertiary programmes.
5. To provide a support network for graduating students and post-graduate refresher and advanced courses.
6. To offer supervised, on-site, student massage and naturopathy treatments.
7. To have a herbal dispensary on campus accessible to students, staff and the public.
